Membrane Coating System

New Life for an Old Roof

We’ve taken our innovation to new heights with this complete waterproofing system that can improve and extend the life of an existing membrae. As TPO and other membranes become weathered, rooftops can crack, leak, and pick up dirt, diminishing their effectiveness and energy-saving properties. Conklin’s elastomeric coatings provide a new, cost-effective solution for repairing and preserving approved single-ply membranes, resulting in improved energy savings.

Advantages:

  • Stops leaks with superior waterproofing
  • Increases energy efficiency and lowers utility expenses with its cool, white reflective surface
  • Extends the life of the existing roof

Process:

  1. Power wash and clean with Wac II Roof Cleaner
  2. Prime surface with Tack Coat
  3. Reinforce seams with Spunflex embedded in Rapid Roof III Base Coat or Equinox Base Coat
  4. Seal entire roof with Rapid Roof III Top Coat or Equinox Top Coat

“Conklin’s membrane Recoating System is a much better choice than a tear-off and re-roof because you have no refusal to haul to the landfill. In addition, you won’t have to worry about your building contents being at risk of inclement weather while the project is underway. With this system, you can turn an old, dirty, leaking roof info a highly reflective monolithic roof with no seams that separate and no leaks. We love this system! ” - Andrew Y. - Missouri

Fabric-Reinforced Roofing System

Rugged, hail-rated roof lowers energy costs

Conklin’s Fabric-Reinforced Roofing System will give your building trouble-free protection. It waterproofs with a seamless acrylic coating in which a tough, flexible fabric is embedded. This combination makes a rugged, yet lightweight membrane that resists splitting and rupturing - the primary cause of leaks. This sytem also substantially increases the strength of your roof, extends its life expectancy, and increases the energy efficiency of the building.

Advantages:

  • Stops leaks with superior waterproofing
  • Offers excellent wind and hail protection
  • Increases energy efficiency and lowers utility expense with its cool, white reflective surface
  • Extends the life of the existing roof

Process:

Conklin’s Fabric-Reinforced Roofing System is extremely versatile and can be applied to many different roof substrates. The application procedure will vary depending upon the type of substrate. Contact us for more info.

“Compared to a conventional asphalt roof, Conklin’s Fabric-Reinforced Roofing System is a much better choice for building owners. It’s easier and faster to apply than asphalt, so there’s less disruption of business, and it keeps the building cooler so that energy costs are lower. In fact, it can pay for itself in energy savings over time. Plus, it’s better for the environment, because it doesn’t contain the toxic chemicals found in hot asphalt. Overall, it’s a smart decision. ” - Virgil S. - Illinois

Single-Ply Membrane System

New Life for an Old Roof

Conklin’s Single-Ply Membrane Roofing Systems are made with premium thermoplastic membranes. During installation, membrane rolls are overlapped and welded together to form an exceptionally durable, waterproof, energy-efficient shield that will deliver unsurpassed protection for years to come.

Advantages:

  • Stops leaks with superior waterproofing
  • Offers superior protection from wind and hail
  • Offers fire and chemical resistance
  • Increases energy efficiency and lowers utility expense with its cool, white reflective surface
  • Can be applied in all seasons, performs in all climates
  • Up to 20 year warranty available

Process:

  1. Remove all loose dirt and debris and install boardstock
  2. Apply membrane, overlapping seams in the direction of water run-off
  3. Weld seams by hand or with a robotic welder
  4. Seal free edges of membrane with 360-S urethane sealant

“Conklin’s Single-Ply Membrane Systems can be applied almost year-round. Typically, they add about two months to either end of our roofing season - plus they stand up to another Montana weather hazard: hail storms. I’ve applied single-ply roofs that have been through baseball-size hail and high winds with no damage!” - Ernie C. - Montana

Spray Polyurethane Foam Roofing Insulation System

Stops leaks, energy loss from the top down

Conklin’s Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) System is a great way to provide high-grade roof insulation for superior protection from the elements. With an insulation value of R6.5 per inch of thickness, SPF effectively controls air infiltration, and reduces cooling and heating costs. During the restoration process, the entire roof is insulated with SPF (at a minimum thickness of one inch) and sealed with a reflective finish coat.

Advantages:

  • Stops leaks
  • Stops lateral water seepage with the foams closed-cell structure
  • Simplifies repairs - most damage can be fixed with caulk gun and sealant
  • Extends the life of the roof

Process:

  1. Prepare roof surface by removing all loose gravel and debris
  2. Apply SPF with a minimum thickness of one inch
  3. Coat foam surface with appropriate Conklin coating system

“We applied foam and coating to the roof of the Playtex facility in Delaware two decades ago. At that time, I figured that the roof would last about 12-15 years. But 20 years later, the roof was still problem free and going strong - it was jst in need of a recoat to renew the warranty!” - Sheldon S. - Delaware
